Job summary

SHINE Systems in Bethesda, MD is seeking developers to design and enhance Tactical Signature Guidance (TSG) systems, including sonar TDAs, across production baselines. You will troubleshoot complex software challenges, learn new languages, and gain exposure to full system integration with occasional travel to Manassas, VA.

The role focuses on collaborative development in Java, React, C++, and related technologies, with company-supported paths to IAT Level I certification and ongoing skill

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science or equivalent software development education.
• Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in software development including real-time systems or signal processing.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Willingness to earn an IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hire (company-supported).

What You’ll Work On

• Learn and apply new programming languages and technologies, with mentorship and support from experienced teammates.




• Occasionally support hardware system configuration and build-out, gaining exposure to full system integration.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science or other degree that provides software development expertise equivalent to standard computer science curriculum




• Experience: Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

  
  
  
  

  • Designing and developing real-time acoustic signal processing algorithms

  
  

  • Building parallel processing solutions

  
  

  • Working with microservices

  
  

  • Developing software for signal processing, real-time data analysis, or visualization/simulation systems
