City of Huntsville is seeking qualified applicants for a Programmer Analyst II position within the ITS Department. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years in IT, with strong SQL access to DBMSs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Three (3) or more years' experience in the Information Technology field, preferably with a concentration in software development and experience in programming, systems analysis and database design, and ability to access DBMS's using SQL is preferred.
• Must pass a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform programming of computer systems applications using conventional programming languages and conduct limited systems studies as part of a design team.
• Be proficient in most programming techniques and familiar with the full Software Development Life Cycle.
