The engagement of a consultant is required to address the significant capacity and continuity gap resulting from the loss of both the Deputy PMO resource and the PMO intern. Their departure reduces the PMO's ability to maintain portfolio coordination, project monitoring, governance support, documentation, reporting and follow-up across active initiatives. At the same time, the PMO must deliver the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) project in addition to its regular responsibilities. SPM requires dedicated coordination of process design, system implementation, data readiness, testing, stakeholder engagement, adoption and the development of portfolio workflows, dashboards, resource-management and benefits-tracking capabilities. Without additional support, the PMO faces increased risks to both SPM delivery and the effective oversight of the wider project portfolio. A consultant would provide the experienced, immediately deployable capacity needed to manage substantive workstreams, maintain essential PMO services and allow the Chief of PMO to focus on strategic direction, executive engagement and support, governance and escalation management.
