Job summary

WebMD is seeking an Associate Director, Ad Operations & Programmatic to lead a three-person programmatic trading team overseeing ~150 active line items across two sales models. This hands-on leader will trade when needed, coach staff, and drive AI-enabled workflows to elevate performance.

You will own end-to-end campaign operations, ensure delivery against client goals, and partner with sales to align definitions and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in ad operations, programmatic media, or digital trading.
• Experience leading a team of traders.
• Proven track record applying AI/automation to workflows.
• Experience managing both CPM/impression-based and budget/spend-based campaigns.
• Strong understanding of DSPs, ad servers, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage three programmatic traders and mentor them.
• Hands-on trading as needed and back-up for high-priority campaigns.
• Lead automation and AI-enabled workflow initiatives.
• Oversee trafficking, QA, and optimization of campaigns across two sales models.
• Develop and maintain measurement, reporting, and escalation processes.
• Collaborate with sales on operational feasibility and upsell opportunities.
