Job summary

Way Home Detox in Rohnert Park, CA is seeking a Program Technician to support the treatment team and ensure client wellbeing. The role involves supervising testing, documenting observations, transporting clients, and maintaining confidentiality.

The technician will work closely with clinical staff, provide emotional support, and assist with intake paperwork while promoting a safe, respectful environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Negative TB test required.
• Understanding of therapeutic process, confidentiality laws, and ethics.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and staff.
• Supervise U/A testing, reporting and documentation.
• Supports clients emotionally and environmentally for comfort and safety.
• Transport clients to meetings and appointments.
• Conduct contraband searches and random room searches.
• Listens, documents, and reports client behavior.
• Maintains confidentiality of clients at all time.
• Provides encouragement, guidance and support to clients and family members.
• Completes required intake paperwork.
• Provides crisis intervention and encourages a healthy residential and working environment.
• Communicates and collaborates with co-workers, clinical staff, and administration in order to deliver the best quality care possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

We're interviewing now at our Rohnert Park, CA facility! Looking for a client-focused Program Tech, who has a basic knowledge or desire to work with substance abuse clientele!

We are seeking to fill a an immediate Full-Time Program Technician position.

The Program Technician fulfils the assigned role as part of the treatment team – to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Program Technician provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned.
