Base pay range

$29,985.00/yr - $47,933.00/yr

General Description

Performs receptionist duties and provides general clerical assistance to the Department of Human Resources and central office. Performs moderately complex work under immediate supervision and requires coordination with others as necessary. Frequent contacts are made within and outside the organization.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Screen visitors and telephone calls, responding to general inquiries and problem solving.
  2. Directs calls to others as appropriate.
  3. Performs general clerical assistance including word processing, copying, collation, filing, sorting and distributing mail.
  4. Assists applicants with the online application process.
  5. Completes employment verifications.
  6. Maintains records and prepares reports as assigned.
  7. May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Working knowledge of office practices, procedures, currently used office equipment, standard English grammar, punctuation and basic computational arithmetic. Working skill in the use of a personal computer and word processing software (Google, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point). Some knowledge about the school division and community. Demonstrated ability to collect, assemble and organize information. Demonstrate ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment within deadlines. Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public.

Requirements

General office experience involving the performance of clerical tasks; or any equivalent combination of experience and training, which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
