Job summary

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality seeks a Program Support Specialist in Helena to provide high-level administrative and program support for the Enforcement Program, including data and records management, QA/QC data entry, proofing crucial documents, communications, research, and web site maintenance.

Program Support Specialist

Position Title: Program Support Specialist - (26142278)

We are actively recruiting for a Program Support Specialist for our Enforcement Program. This Program Support Specialist performs high-level administrative services and program support by providing critical data and records management, QA/QC data entry, proofing and editing crucial documents, handling important communications and information requests, conducting research, and performing web site maintenance. This position also performs support functions such as mail processing, assisting visitors, managing main phone lines, inventory management, purchasing, and scheduling travel, meetings, or events. Applicants will need significant skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe and the ability to learn and manage databases. Enforcement is a strong, caring, and highly communicative team that needs a great Program Support Specialist who enjoys playing a critical role in the operations of an organization.

The position includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year or relevant experience with demonstrated skill in the use of office software and equipment.
  • Some college or post‑high school education or training preferred.
  • May require current valid Driver's License and clean driving record in accordance with State of Montana Vehicle Use Policy.
