Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead a team delivering evidence-based behavioral health services in a California setting. You will review cases, guide interventions, and ensure documentation meets agency standards to support quality care.

Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with leadership to manage risk, budgets, and staff training while maintaining a confidential, client-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to staff, including reviewing cases, offering guidance and therapeutic interventions to assist in providing evidence-based, culturally responsive client services.
• Provide support and guidance in managing client risk situations.
• Review required documentation, supporting staff with completing all paperwork within the agency timelines and confirming that documentation meets agency and contractual requirements.
• Monitor the quality of services provided by supervisees through case reviews, observation, and feedback.
• Support staff in participating in training and professional development opportunities, to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills and to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with best practices and standards of care.
• Collaborate with program director to monitor budgets, allocate resources, and track expenses effectively to support program activities and priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required, Master's degree preferred
• Direct experience and knowledge of Behavioral Health and Social Services Core Practices in settings such as outpatient clinics, facilities, and/or community-based organizations
• Requires demonstrated leadership ability
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards and best practices
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of database and reporting tools
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
