Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Program Supervisor I to lead program staff and ensure services align with grant objectives. This role emphasizes data quality, daily service delivery, and collaboration with the Director to meet program goals on-site.

The position requires a background in social services, supervisory experience, and a relevant degree, with preferred SW-related credentials. VOALA offers visibility into impactful community work and a stable on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance and background checks required.
• Ability to perform under emotional stress and handle challenging clients.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience (2 years) required.
• 6 months of supervisory experience in a social services setting required.
• Master of Social Work or related field preferred; experience connecting clients to community resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff to meet grant objectives and daily KPI targets.
• Coordinate day-to-day program operations, intake, service plans, and service delivery to clients.
• Conduct weekly case conferences and monthly case file audits to ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Monitor compliance with VOALA policies and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist Director with implementing policies, procedures and staff training; mentor team.
• Coordinate outreach and collaboration with community partners and stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
