The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is seeking a part-time School Age Child Care Program Staff for the Kids Club at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 2 pm–6 pm, year-round, with summer break excluded.

This entry-level role supports engaging activities for youth ages 5–13 and ensures compliance with EEC regulations. Ideal candidates are at least 21, have reliable transportation, and are prepared to pass background checks and CORI.

Qualifications

• Preferred: One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.

Position: School Aged Child Care, Program Staff, at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester) located at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA.

Part time, Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm.

As required by EEC licensing, all applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Program Staff will assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5 -13. Additional responsibilities include complying with EEC regulations.

This position is a part time year-round position. The School Age Child Care program staff person must have reliable transportation. Hours of operating are Monday - Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, excluding school vacation weeks and summer break. This is an excellent entry level position for a motivated individual who is interested in working with youth.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.


• Perform light cleaning and assume other duties as assigned.


• Consistently work on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time, be physically active.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. (per EEC regulations)

Preferred but not required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university,

Preferred but not required: One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.

• Confidence in providing academic support, as needed, to members.


• Competency in navigating remote learning tools, technology equipment and modes of instruction.


• Strong computer skills


• Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing


• CPR and First Aid certifications, preferred.


• Bilingual preferred (Spanish & English) but not required.
