Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester invites applications for a part-time Lead Staff position in School Age Child Care at the Kids Club, located at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA. This role supports after-school programs from 2 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, year-round, with a focus on youth aged 5 to 13.

As required by EEC licensing, candidates must be at least 21 years old and prepared to engage families and build safe, enriching activities.

Qualifications

• Must be minimum 21 years old per EEC regulations.
• Meet one of: BA/AS with 3 months experience; or HS diploma with 6 months experience incl 3 months supervised; or 9 months experience with supervised experience.
• Academic support to members.
• Ability to navigate remote learning tools and technology.
• Strong computer skills.
• Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing.
• Group leadership and understanding of group dynamics.
• Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of youth programs for ages 5–13.
• Comply with EEC regulations.
• Oversee special programs and events as necessary.
• Lift up to 25 pounds.
• Consult with parents regarding member and Clubhouse issues.
• Perform light cleaning and other duties as assigned.
• Stay on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time.
