Job summary

Tallahassee State College is hiring a Program Specialist - P08976 for the Workforce Development/Rebuild Florida initiative. This grant-funded role focuses on planning, implementing, and reporting on Rebuild Florida components, coordinating outreach to employers and community partners, and enrolling participants into required systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, and implement grant components; coordinate outreach to employers and community organizations
  • Develop and implement enrollment action plans; track and report grant progress
  • Enroll participants into Workday and Florida DOE systems; gather and submit required paperwork
  • Assist with program curriculum development
  • Implement outreach and marketing plans; publish activity schedules and evaluations

Program Specialist - Rebuild Florida

Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a grant-funded opening for the position of Program Specialist - P08976 with Workforce Development/Rebuild Florida. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.

What You’ll Do
As a Program Specialist , the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and implementation of Rebuild Florida related grant components. Coordinates outreach to employers and community organizations.

  • Develops and implements an action plan to address program enrollments along with addressing any challenges that may arise. Completes all tracking and reporting requirements related to the grant. Ensures that grant progress is communicated timely, and grant deliverables are met.

  • Enrolls participants into the student management system (Workday) and with the Florida Department of Education via their regulations. Ensures all required paperwork is gathered and submitted as required under the grant.

  • Assist with the development of program curriculum.

  • Implement and conduct an outreach and marketing plan. Conduct outreach campaigns that involve strategies that include news releases and one-to- one conversation with key community partners to attract candidates to the program. Publish a schedule of outreach activities, summative evaluations and analysis.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years progressive experience in business management, business administration, program development or a related field.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a background in pre-apprenticeship/apprenticeship programs, the construction industry, and/or manufacturing industry.

  • OSHA 10 Trainer certification is a plus.
