This individual will handle complaints and inquiries submitted to the Child Support Division through multiple channels and will be cross-trained as appropriate in tasks outside of the complaint resolution position. A major planned area of cross-training is in Division office accounting. More specifically, the person in this position assists the Child Support Division as follows:
Great communication skills; database entry skills; conflict resolution skills; de-escalation skills or experience; good professional writing skills; active listening skills; ability to learn multiple software applications; attention to detail; research skills; reading comprehension skills; excellent follow-through; inventory skills; accounting skills.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience.— Hiring Agency Prefers: 2-3 years of experience working in child support enforcement required; 2-3 years of state government experience strongly preferred; 2-3 years of complaint resolution experience strongly preferred; 1-2 years' experience with complaint resolution software strongly preferred; 1-2 years of experience using MAGIC (Mississippi's Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration) strongly preferred; experience using Smartsheet strongly preferred.
