Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated Program Specialist to support individuals with IDD and autism through the Genesis Program. You will help ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, provider support, and person-centered planning that promotes independence and community inclusion.

The role emphasizes advocacy, relationship-building, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • > Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Chapter 6100 and Chapter 6500 Regulations.
  • > Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • > Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • > Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • > Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • > Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • > Ability to support and implement RHD values and person-centered practices.
  • > Ability to engage individuals, providers, and Direct Support Professionals in productive and supportive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • > Create an empowering and supportive environment for individuals with IDD or Autism.
  • > Promote person-centered practices and the principles of Everyday Lives.
  • > Oversee the quality and implementation of individual program plans and supports.
  • > Ensure individuals' health, safety, goals, and outcomes are supported in accordance with their ISPs.
  • > Maintain compliance with PA Chapter 6100 and 6500 regulations.
  • > Complete assessments, quarterlies, SEEPs, and other required documentation.
  • > Organize and maintain individual records and files.
  • > Collaborate with Supports Coordination Organizations, Administrative Entities, the Office of Developmental Programs, providers, and other community partners.
  • > Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary planning activities.
  • > Assist providers in preparing for self-licensing assessments and regulatory reviews.
  • > Conduct training for families, providers, and Direct Support Professionals.
  • > Conduct monthly site visits and quality monitoring activities.
  • > Serve as the incident management point person within EIM.
  • > Participate in an on-call rotation as assigned.
  • > Complete required professional development and training hours annually.
  • > Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and travel throughout the service area.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
