Job summary

nVent is seeking a proactive professional to join our team in Anoka, MN, acting as the primary customer interface for assigned accounts. You will process drawings and technical instructions, coordinate with engineering, operations, and sales to fulfill customer requirements, and assist with quotes while ensuring timely, accurate pricing and communication.

The role requires 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work four days in Anoka with one day remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is helpful.
• Ideally 3+ years of relatable experience supporting a manufacturing environment, coordinating projects/processes on the manufacturing floor.
• Experience in cross-functional interface and coordination is strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of material flow, planning, scheduling, supply management/purchasing, inventory, costing, and shipping/receiving.
• Validated skills in using business intelligence systems and organizational skills to handle accounts on a day-to-day basis.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Receive and process customer drawings, specifications, and technical instructions.
• Work with engineering, operations, and sales to develop a solution that fulfills the customer requirements by supporting new part number setup.
• Assist with simple quotations where pricing has been established.
• Use costing tools to create pricing that accurately reflects the factory costs and work with the Account Manager or Program Manager responsible for that account to provide a finished quotation.
• Ensure all customer requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
• Compile and lead weekly open order report calls with customers to review order status.
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
• Review and release new EDI or hardcopy PO orders daily.
• Support Account and Program Managers reconciling with product changes that effect cost or price.
• Track and report on the status of all orders for assigned strategic accounts.
• Join customer meetings or conference calls to provide customer service and technical guidance to ensure that the finished quotes and orders accurately reflect the customer's specifications or needs.
• Function as the primary customer interface for the account managers for specifically assigned customer accounts.
• Communicate customer expectations to the operations.
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations by working closely with the Logistics team on preparing shipment documents as required.

YOU HAVE:

• A bachelor’s degree is helpful.
• Ideally 3+ years of relatable experience supporting a manufacturing environment, coordinating projects/processes on the manufacturing floor.
• Experience in cross-functional interface and coordination is strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of material flow, planning, scheduling, supply management/purchasing, inventory, costing, and shipping/receiving.
• Validated skills in using business intelligence systems and organizational skills to handle accounts on a day-to-day basis.
• Proven skills in identifying root causes of problems/issues by asking probing questions and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution.
• Validated skills in running multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner.
• Advanced-level Microsoft Excel experience.
• Ability to work 4 days a week from our Anoka, MN HQ, and one day remote per week.

Benefits to support the lives of our employees Pay Transparency nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
