Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Center in Dunmore, PA seeks a Program Specialist – Community Living Arrangements to oversee residential sites and support staff while ensuring high-quality care for individuals in the CLA program.

You’ll help develop, implement, and monitor ISPs, assisting individuals to achieve personal goals and independence. Travel between sites and supervision of staff are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits with 4+ years working with individuals with disabilities, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in the field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support residential staff, including training and performance oversight.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
• Attend ISP meetings and ensure documentation is completed on time.
• Conduct regular site visits and ensure quality care across homes.
• Coordinate staff schedules, review time records, and assist with hiring.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and complete required reports and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with 6400 regulations and program policies.
• Collaborate with families, support coordinators, and outside providers.
• Support community-based activities and monitor individual progress.
• Lead staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing development.

As a Program Specialist – CLA, you’ll oversee residential sites and support staff while ensuring high-quality care for individuals in the Community Living Arrangement (CLA) program. You’ll play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Support Plans (ISPs), helping individuals achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible.

What’s Required of You:

• Associate’s degree or at least 60 college credits and a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities OR Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Valid PA Driver’s License and ability to travel between sites
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
• Ability to lift light items as needed
• Ability to travel regularly between program locations
