Job summary

A community care organization in Dunmore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in daily activities. The Direct Support Professional helps people with disabilities live safely and comfortably in their homes and the community. You’ll help with daily needs, household tasks, and community activities while keeping the home clean, safe, and well‑organized. You’ll also follow each person’s care plan and work with your team to make sure everyone gets the care and respect they deserve.

What you'll do

• Follow and carry out each person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).

• Complete all required paperwork and documentation clearly and on time.
• Take part in fire drills and know what to do in an emergency.

• Follow all medication rules, including ordering, logging, and administering medication.
• Know and follow Saint Joseph’s Center and state regulations.
• Share important updates at shift changes and record notes in the communication log.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors and maintain a respectful, positive home environment.
• Be flexible with tasks, schedules, and priorities.
