Position Summary
Our client is seeking a full-time Program Specialist to lead and support the development of their flagship educator-facing initiatives: the Certified Educator Program, the Professional Learning Hub. This position will also support the development of new Effective Tech Guidelines. Our client is looking for someone who blends instructional design expertise with project management and a strong understanding of educator needs and the evolving teaching and learning landscape.
You will work under the Director of Programs and in collaboration with internal teams and volunteer committees or workgroups to design, develop, and support these initiatives and additional program needs as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Certification Program Leadership
- Lead the development, pilot, and implementation of the Certified Educator Program
- Manage the Certification Design Committee: coordinate meetings, track decisions, and integrate feedback
- Create and maintain performance-based assessments, rubrics, and support tools
- Support the future development of Level 2 and specialty endorsement certifications
Professional Learning Hub (PL Hub) Content Development
- Design and deliver short-form, on-demand microcourses and learning paths
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure content quality and relevance
- Manage release timelines, content updates, and feedback integration
- Align all assets to UDL principles and our clients instructional design framework
Effective Tech Guidelines Development
- Launch and coordinate the Effective Tech Guidelines workgroup (Fall 2025)
- Facilitate meetings, synthesize recommendations, and draft practical, classroom-centered guidance
- Support the development of resources to promote adoption at the school and district levels
General Responsibilities
- Maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across all initiatives
- Support volunteer committees and workgroups with logistics, communication, and documentation
- Collaborate with communications and events teams to promote learning opportunities
- Ensure all learning materials are inclusive, accessible, and equity-driven
- Provide occasional support at our clients in-person events or virtual trainings
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, or administrator
- Experience in instructional design or curriculum development for adult learners
- Knowledge of asynchronous PD models, microlearning, and educator certifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience facilitating collaborative groups
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a remote environment
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and technology integration frameworks (ISTE, TPACK, SAMR)
- Experience with LMS platforms and digital content creation tools
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and external contributors
Preferred Competencies

- Proficiency in Google Workspace and project management tools

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25% for events and trainings
- Extended periods of computer-based work
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds for event support
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
