Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Program Security Officer in Layton, UT to ensure full-scope program support and compliance with NISPOM. The FSO will oversee new employee clearances in DISS, administer security training, and conduct inspections to advise management on deficiencies.

Responsibilities include maintaining security documentation in SIMS, interfacing with DCSA, and guiding project managers on security requirements. A Top Secret clearance and DoD process experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience with a BA degree.
• 9+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Top Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with DoD processes and procedures or equivalent regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, DoD Security Manuals, and COMSEC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing of new employee security clearances and track in DISS.
• Administer security education, training, and awareness programs for cleared employees.
• Conduct periodic self-inspections and advise management on deficiencies and recommendations.
• Communicate security procedures to employees and subcontractors and assist project staff.
• Maintain security documentation and files using SIMS per requirements.
• Prepare, manage, and interface with DCSA.
• Investigate security violations and recommend preventive actions.
