Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Physical Security Officer Principal to provide multi-discipline security support for SAPs, SCI, and collateral data in the Lorton/NCR area.

The role involves day-to-day analysis, policy development, and training to strengthen SAP/SCI security programs, with opportunities for leadership and mentoring within the team. Travel is expected 10-25% to support operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years related experience.
• 2+ years SAP experience required.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Must be able to Attain – TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• 10-25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
• Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI and collateral data.
• Provide day-to-day security support including assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide recommendations.
• Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program.
• Assist in providing contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.
• Brief all levels of personnel on security topics.
• Conduct SAP facility compliance reviews and follow-ups.
• Monitor and track corrective actions from reviews.
• Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to staff.

Bachelor’s degree in related area

Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
