Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Portfolio Manager based in United States.

This is a senior business and technology leadership role focused on guiding complex enterprise transformation and migration programs from strategy through execution. You will partner with C-level executives, technology leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable transformation roadmaps. The role combines strategic advisory, architecture planning, program governance, and large-scale migration leadership. You will help organizations modernize infrastructure, adopt cloud and hybrid solutions, and improve operational outcomes. Success requires strong executive presence, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority. This is an opportunity to shape high-impact technology programs while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the transformation journey.

Accountabilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation and migration programs in close partnership with C-level executives, client transformation leaders, and senior technology stakeholders.
  • Identify business drivers, strategic goals, and transformation opportunities, developing compelling business cases, proposals, and executive-ready recommendations tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Develop architecture strategies, transformation roadmaps, execution plans, and governance frameworks in collaboration with technology, consulting, engineering, product, and program management teams.
  • Lead large-scale migration initiatives through assessment, planning, solution development, execution, and transition into steady-state operations.
  • Manage transitions of operational responsibility, including complex colocation and public cloud environments, while maintaining continuity and consistency during organizational or technology changes.
  • Facilitate discovery, assessment, and solution-development workshops with client and internal teams to understand requirements and design effective transformation strategies.
  • Develop and document target-state solutions, reference architectures, frameworks, and templates that address both technical and business requirements.
  • Present technical solutions, transformation strategies, and business cases to audiences ranging from engineers and technical teams to executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with clients by providing informed recommendations based on technology expertise, operational insight, and previous transformation experience.
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities while maintaining accountability for program outcomes, timelines, governance, and execution.
  • Partner with product and program management teams to identify appropriate product enhancements and influence technology roadmaps based on client needs.
  • Monitor and communicate program budgets, expenses, cost savings, and financial performance across major transformation initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration across diverse internal and external teams, helping align technology capabilities and organizational resources around client objectives.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience leading technology initiatives in hosting, cloud, managed services, or related environments, preferably within a service provider or cloud managed services organization.
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience spanning enterprise IT, consulting, engineering, development, transformation, or large-scale migration programs.
  • Proven experience planning and leading complex enterprise IT transformation and change-management programs involving multiple stakeholders, technologies, and organizational functions.
  • Strong experience designing, building, and operating global IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and technology services.
  • Demonstrated expertise delivering enterprise IT professional services, cloud services, or technology transformation programs.
  • Exceptional business acumen with the ability to understand client objectives, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into compelling technology strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with C-suite and board-level executives as well as technology leaders, engineers, developers, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Strong program leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail in complex transformation environments.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable influencing decisions and driving execution across cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and results orientation, with the ability to work effectively across different organizations, cultures, management levels, and personalities.
  • Independent, self-directed, and adaptable, with strong empathy, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to challenge established approaches using compelling insights and data while maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as hybrid cloud environments.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary of $140,000–$180,000, depending on skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
  • Potential equity grant through an Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
  • Unlimited paid days off.
  • Three health plan options.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life, and AD&D coverage.
  • Flexible spending account options.
  • Family-forming benefits, including fertility coverage and adoption or surrogacy reimbursement.
  • Paid childbearing and parental leave.
  • Education reimbursement, student loan assistance, or 529 college funding.
  • Sabbatical leave and wellness programs.
  • Flexible work schedules and the ability to work from home or from company offices when client requirements permit.
  • Opportunities to contribute to innovation, professional development, collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and community initiatives.
