Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 3 or 4) in Linthicum, MD. You will lead detailed IMS development, cost/resource analysis, and cross-team coordination to ensure schedules meet program objectives and stay integrated across functions.

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and experience with major scheduling tools. The position offers challenging work supporting national defense and space programs, with opportunities to prepare briefings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 5+ years in program/project planning and scheduling; Level 4 requires 8+ years or Master's with 6+ years
  • Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance at time of application required.
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling software (MS Project, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone, Deltek, SSI Tools).

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
  • Make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to leadership.
  • Interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives and ensure integration.
  • Implement scheduling best practices (DCMA 14-point, IPMR DI-MGMT-81861, EVMS, Critical Path, SRA, health metrics); provide weekly status and reporting; conduct IBR/JSR audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position can be filled at either Level 3 or 4.

In This Job, You Will
  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
  • Make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership.
  • Interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, as well as the Program/Project Manager.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives and ensure program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
  • Implement scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
    • DCMA 14-point
    • IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
    • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Critical Path Analysis
    • Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
    • Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
    • Provide weekly status and reporting
    • Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling.
  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling - OR - Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling software (i.e., MS Project 2016, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone Professional, Deltek and SSI Tools).
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in MS Project 2016.
