Position Overview

Northrop Grumman is looking for a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst – Level 5 to join our Space Sector team in Promontory, UT. The analyst will conduct detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts, and present recommendations to leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
  • Create and present presentation content for various levels of leadership.
  • Interface with functional teams, supplier teams, and Program/Project Managers.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure all program objectives are met and schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
  • Implement scheduling best practices, including DCMA 14‑point IPMR, EVMS, Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), and Schedule Performance & Health Metrics.
  • Provide weekly status and reporting.
  • Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Basic: Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling, OR Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience. Additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Extensive experience with scheduling software (MS Project, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone Professional, Deltek, SSI Tools). Proficiency in Primavera P6 required.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and schedule management.
  • No clearance required to start.
  • Preferred: Experience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).
Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,000.00 - $208,600.00. Salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, market conditions, and may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for higher‑level positions.
