Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst at Level 2 or 3. Location options include Aurora, CO; Dulles, VA; McLean, VA; Linthicum, MD.

The role requires detailed IMS development, cross‑functional interface, and travel up to 10%. The candidate will perform schedule and cost analysis, present to leadership, and implement industry scheduling best practices while maintaining an active Top‑Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in program/project planning and scheduling or Master’s with 1+ year.
  • Will consider +4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong PC skills with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone, Deltek, SSI).
  • Active Top‑Secret/SCI clearance at time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
  • Make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to leadership.
  • Interface with functional teams, supplier teams, and Program/Project Manager.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives.
  • Implement scheduling best practices: DCMA 14‑point, IPMR DI‑MGMT‑81861, EVMS, Critical Path, SRA, metrics.
  • Provide weekly status and reporting.
  • Conduct IBR and JSR audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst – Level 2 or 3

Location options: Aurora CO; Dulles VA; McLean VA; Linthicum MD.

Candidate can be hired at Level 2 or Level 3.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
  • Make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership.
  • Interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, as well as the Program/Project Manager.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives and ensure program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
  • Implement scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
    • DCMA 14‑point
    • IPMR DI‑MGMT‑81861
    • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Critical Path Analysis
    • Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
    • Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
  • Provide weekly status and reporting.
  • Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling OR Master’s degree with 1+ years of professional experience.
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project 2016, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone Professional, Deltek and SSI Tools).
  • Requires an active Top‑Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with resource loading schedules.
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
