Job summary

San Diego State University’s Women’s Resource Center is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to support daily operations, programming, and student engagement. You will work closely with the WRC Director to create an inclusive space and serve as a mentor and resource for students from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Analytical and research skills to gather information and develop informed recommendations.
• Clear and respectful communication with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
• Organization and attention to detail when managing schedules, reservations, calendars, front desk coverage, and general inquiries.
• Experience coordinating accessible and engaging in‑person or virtual programs, trainings, activities, or events.
• Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and student‑centered environment.
• Experience creating or updating social media, newsletters, websites, or other outreach materials.
• Flexibility to manage varied responsibilities and occasionally support evening or weekend events.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily WRC operations, including front desk coverage, room reservations, student assistant schedules, general email inquiries, and visitor support.
• Support established educational, cultural, wellness, and affinity-based programs, such as healing programs, discussion groups, and support initiatives.
• Collaborate with campus partners to provide programs focused on academic success, leadership, wellness, equity, and belonging.
• Maintain the WRC’s website, social media, newsletters, email communications, marketing materials, and event calendars.
• Assist with supporting student assistants and volunteers with program planning, facilitation, and center operations.
• Collaborate with SDSU community centers, campus departments, and community organizations to coordinate programs, outreach, tabling, and student resources.
• Help with coordinating event logistics, purchasing documentation, attendance tracking, and program assessments to support effective services and future improvements.
