Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club is seeking an Early Childhood Center Assistant Director to help lead center operations, oversee classroom practices, and ensure licensing and quality compliance. You will support the Director, manage enrollment activities, and coordinate staff schedules while maintaining a safe, engaging environment for children.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus experience in health and human services with youth; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years related experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the health and human services field to include work with youth.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach personnel to success.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director in the day-to-day operation of the early childhood center.
• Assist with implementing center policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Help coordinate daily schedules, classroom coverage, transitions, and staffing assignments.
• Monitor center operations for safety, organization and staffing.
• Maintain accurate center records and assist with calendars, meetings and events.
• Serve as acting administrator in the Director's absence when designated.
• Develop positive relationships with families and community partners.
