NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Program Operations Specialist position within the SPS Quality Assurance unit in New York. The role involves data management, reporting, and analyses to improve services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in human services and may include evening/weekend hours, travel, and potential progression from trainee levels to a full program specialist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
• Experience requirements listed for Trainee 2 and Trainee 1 upgrading to Specialist 1.
• Substitution possibility with JD or master's degree for one year of specialized experience.
• Eligibility to transfer or be reachable on Civil Service lists.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a data management specialist.
• Partner with SPS Leadership for data collection and reporting.
• Communicate with SPS leadership using data-driven tools.
• Support knowledge transfer of data analysis skills to staff.
• Review division activities to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and maintain storage of records.
• Provide analysis for SPS Leadership on staffing output and benchmarks.
• Participate in IT development projects to support SPS services.
