Job summary

The NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking a Data Analyst 1 in the Division of State Operations to support data reporting, analytics, and in-house applications. The role focuses on SharePoint development, Power Platform tools, and collaboration with ITS to improve program operations.

Responsibilities include building data collection tools, maintaining sites, gathering end-user requirements, configuring workflows, and providing user training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated SharePoint experience, including custom application development, workflow automation, and site customization.
• Proficient in Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps) and Microsoft 365 integration.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based setting; experience analyzing and managing data using SAS (or SPSS) and visualizing data using Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop SharePoint data collection tools using PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Maintain existing data collection tools and sites.
• Collaborate with project managers and end-users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Create and configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
• Customize SharePoint workflows to automate business processes.
• Monitor SharePoint performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain documentation related to design, configuration, and support procedures.
• Fulfill change requests.
• User support and training.
• Collaboration with ITS staff.
• Stay current on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 updates, recommending improvements and enhancements as needed.
