Job summary

St. Vincent’s in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an Assistant Program Director to support the Program Director in the operations of the Father Virgil Cordano Center.

The role focuses on program administration, client referrals, case management, and collaboration with community partners to ensure services meet local needs. You will help with grant applications, performance of records, staff coordination, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for clients, staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Social Work or related field required; experience may substitute.
• Strong English communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage time and stay organized.
• Commitment to serving underserved populations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with daily operations and administration.
• Support client intake, referrals, case management, and related services.
• Assist with Community Supports and Enhanced Care Management programs.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional environment.
• Assist with grant applications, reporting, and records.
• Collaborate with community agencies to connect clients with resources.
• Coordinate Center activities, meetings, and supplies.
• Build relationships with clients while maintaining boundaries.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Perform related duties and projects as needed.
