LISC Greater Kansas City seeks a Program Officer to coordinate the deployment of loan capital to underserved communities, managing loan origination, underwriting, closing and asset management. You will partner with developers and community organizations to expand affordable housing and commercial opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in lending/finance and strong analytical and communication skills; occasional travel is expected and collaboration is key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Planning, Community Development, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in lending/finance/community development/nonprofit work with housing project financing.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines; strong collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Originate, structure, and underwrite financing for affordable housing and community projects in the KC region.
• Conduct due diligence, draft credit memoranda, and present loan recommendations.
• Manage closing processes with counsel and coordinate capital deployment to funders.
• Develop local lending strategy and collaborate with partners to access subsidies and private financing.
• Represent LISC as an expert at regional and national conferences and events; in-person attendance required.
