Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Program Manager Ops Performance OE to lead deployment of the Operations Management System (OMS-FC) across the NorAm region, delivering standardized tools and sustainable improvements.

You will guide sector and site leadership, coach implementation Advisors, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational effectiveness, align with regional plans, and create value for DHL and customers.

Qualifications

• 4 yr degree or equivalent General Management or Above Experience required.
• Lean Transformation experience required.
• Lean Process Improvement Skills (SMED, TPM, Daily Management, Standard Work, Flow, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping) required.
• Project Management Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and strategy of OMS-FC deployment.
• Verifies and ensures all operational and performance tracking tools are in place or planned in detail prior to and during readiness and implementation phases to support OMS-FC deployment.
• Coordinates and directs the delivery of consistent OMS-FC implementations across regions or sites to ensure a standard system.
• Leads and coaches Implementation Advisors to deliver training and knowledge transfer to site users on OMS-FC, performance tracking tools, and issue resolution.
• Leads and conducts OMS-FC, Process and System Confirmations to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Replicates process improvements across customer accounts with OE teams and regional leaders.
• Ensures transformational deployments align with sector/site/customer objectives and create value for DHL and customers.
• Regularly reviews progress with OE Advisors and Regional Directors, providing updates and improvement activity.
• Establishes a balanced schedule of activity across assigned sites and sectors.
• Provides knowledge to associates on Continuous Improvement processes and tools.
• Fosters an environment for open, free-flowing ideas within the OMS process.
• Leads and coaches continuous improvement workshops related to OMS and facilitates workshops as needed.
• Ensures documentation of improved processes meets OMS, regulatory, and ISO requirements.

Job Description

Development of deployment strategy, implement the Operations Management Systems. Leading and coaching of Lead Operations Performance Advisor-OE, Sr Ops Performance Advisor-OE. Leading, coaching the Sector Leadership and Site Leadership teams within the NorAm region on the strategy and implementation of OMS-FC. Manage NorAm Region implementation tracking/management tools to provide guidance to Sector Leadership on required to achieve operational effectiveness and standards within the site.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and strategy of OMS-FC deployment
• Verify and ensuring all operational and performance tracking/management tools are in place or planned in detail prior to and during the readiness and implementation phase to support the implementation of the OMS-FC Gate implementation Process
• Coordinate and direct the delivery of consistent OMS-FC implementations across each region or sites to ensure each site within the program scope has a standard Operations Management System.
• Leads and coach the Implementation Advisors to deliver effective training and knowledge transfer to site users and others on use of the Operations Management System, performance tracking tools/systems, interpretation, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Leads and conducts Operations Management System, Process and System Confirmations in line with sustainability models to ensure success of implementation and long-term sustainability.
• Working with the OE Operations Performance Advisor, Site Champions and Regional Operations Performance Directors and Advisors to replicate process improvements across customer accounts where applicable (incorporate replication in initial transformational action plans)
• Ensure transformational process deployments are aligned with sector, site, customer objectives and creates value for DHL and our Customers
• Working with the OE Operations Performance Advisor, Champions and Regional Operations Director and Advisors to conduct regular process continuous improvement workshop progress reviews with customers
• Provide regular (monthly) OMS-FC progress updates and related improvement activity with OE Operations Performance Advisor, Champions, Regional Operations Director and Regional Vice President
• Establish a balanced schedule of activity across assigned sites and sectors
• Provide associates involved in Operations Management System with the necessary knowledge to understand the overall Continuous Improvement Process, objectives and related tools / routines
• Create and foster an environment within the Operations Management System process that promotes open free flowing involvement and ideas
• Leads and Coach the execution of continuous improvement workshop as they pertain to Operations Management System and help facilitate workshops as necessary.
• Verify to ensure the documentation of improved processes is in a format consistent with relative Operations Management System, regulatory and ISO requirements for site / sector.
• Champion best practice sharing during the deployment of workshop action planning activity

Required Education and Experience

• 4 yr. Degree or Equivalent General Management or Above Experience required.
• 7 -10 years of experience in large scale Lean/Operations Management Systems preferred.
• 2 - 3 years of Logistic industry experience required.
• 5 - 7 years of Operations experience required.
• Lean Transformation Experience required.
• Lean Process Improvement Skills (SMED, TPM, Daily Management, Standard Work, Flow, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping) required.
• Project Management Skills required.
• Communication Skills (all levels of the organization) required.
• Team Facilitation Skills required.
• Change Management Skills required.
• Experience in performance management, productivity and Industrial Engineering required.
• Experience of cross functional working with operations and functions (IT/Eng) required.
• Very system literate and process thinker preferred.
