Job summary

The District of Columbia Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) seeks a Program Manager to lead the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Community Programs. This role directs staff, establishes goals, and coordinates a wide range of Positive Youth Justice community-based programs and services to support youth and families while upholding public safety.

You will develop strategies, monitor program efficiency, and advise on policies to improve access and quality of workforce

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in directing and supervising community-based programs for youth.
• Experience coordinating wraparound supports and staff across multiple programs.
• Familiarity with federal and District laws applicable to secure care facilities and juvenile services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise the operation of Community Programs in DYRS.
• Develop long- and short-term goals, monitor performance, and allocate resources to meet timelines and outcomes.
• Direct staff, evaluate processes, and ensure compliance with policies and budget constraints.
