Overview
Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Program Manager, Volunteer Services to work 24 hours per week during the day shift. The role will include three shifts per week with a flexible schedule. This position works in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer to enhance the patient experience, support hospital staff and departments, and engage the community through a dedicated volunteer program. Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and evaluate the volunteer program plan in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer.
- Partner with hospital departments and administration on volunteer placements.
- Promote the program to internal and external audiences including community-based organizations.
- Recruit, onboard and evaluate volunteers.
- Recognize volunteers through annual recognition/awards events.
- Maintain volunteer database, including years/hours served.
- Perform other duties and projects as required within the scope of skill and competency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of related experience working with volunteers; 2-3 years supervisory/management experience preferred. Previous healthcare or hospital volunteer experience is also preferred.
- Experience in supervision and training is valuable.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications; ability to produce complex documents and maintain databases.
