Job summary

Best Buddies International seeks a Lead, Program Manager to drive mission through school and community programs. You will recruit, train, and support volunteer committees, building a broad state-level network to advance leadership development and inclusive engagement.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, program design, and partnership cultivation. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or 3–4 years in volunteer/committee management, strong communication, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–4 years relevant experience in volunteer and committee management.
• Experience with Best Buddies programs is a plus.
• Experience managing and motivating volunteers.
• Comfort engaging with individuals with IDD, including youth and adults.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate leadership trainings for volunteer roles.
• Recruit and manage volunteer committees to implement trainings and manage chapters.
• Evaluate and track chapter engagement and provide certifications for advisors and ongoing training opportunities.
• Lead community trainings to promote awareness of and engagement in Best Buddies mission, including corporate partner trainings, ambassadors, and e-Buddies trainings.
• Plan and implement state events and programmatic initiatives.
• Oversee state citizen matches and support/cultivate corporate chapters.
