Job summary

County of Santa Clara's Vietnamese American Service Center seeks a Program Manager III to plan, organize, direct and control activities of a very large County program, ensuring integrated, culturally and linguistically responsive services and customer-focused delivery. The role reports to the VASC Director to align operations with community needs.

The candidate should have experience in multiple areas such as program development, administrative processes, partnerships and strategic outreach;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in analytical, administrative, lead, supervisory or management duties.
• Experience interpreting rules, gathering data and formulating recommendations, reporting with Countywide impact.
• Ability to work with cross-departmental teams and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs a County program that provides direct service to the public or other agencies.
• Handles complex coordination between County, local and State resources.
• Prepares staff reports and comprehensive detailed plans with Countywide impact.
• Works closely with cross departmental staff at all levels of the organization.
• Determines program objectives and develops strategies to achieve them.
• Establishes priorities and budgets; may present to the Board of Supervisors.
• Maintains liaison with public and private agencies and communities.
