Job summary

Cumming Group in Long Beach, CA is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee capital improvement projects for a public university athletic field. The role requires leading design, procurement, construction and closeout across multiple projects with experience in higher education and athletic facilities.

You will build and monitor project plans, budgets and schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years in project management, engineering, or construction management.
• Experience with multiple project delivery methods such as design-bid-build, design-build, CMAR, JOC, or TOCA.
• Prior experience with educational facility projects and/or athletic field projects highly preferred.
• Experience with Cal State University’s construction process and procedures preferred.
• Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

Responsibilities

• Design processes to monitor project details across scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Establish parameters to assess scope, schedule, and budget changes.
• Provide coordination and implement controls to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Partner with project team to provide proactive solutions and oversee through to completion.
• Regularly assess status, and oversee quality assurance and control programs.
• Lead a project team, whether large or multiple projects, or a whole program.
• Define technical scope of project and review cost estimates.
• Maintain monthly budgets for current and forecast expenditures.
• Facilitate and maintain client communications and reports.
• Attend work during normal business hours.
