Job summary

University of California San Diego seeks a Program Manager for the Student Veterans Resource Center. The role leads a high-profile center, coordinating with the SSP unit to serve military-connected students, veterans, and ROTC, across academic and personal development programs.

You will recruit and retain students, build partnerships with campus and external organizations, and pursue grants to enhance services while supervising staff and coordinating events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with 7–9 years of experience.
• Three to five years of successful experience in veteran’s affairs or related education programs.
• Budget management experience including grants and other funding sources.
• Three to five years of experience developing partnerships with internal and external constituencies.
• Knowledge of learning theories, student development, and applying academic support to veterans.
• Understanding of higher education administration and veteran services.
• Ability to design and implement learning models and programs.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, retain, and serve military-connected students in SVRC.
• Collaborate with SSP Director to provide holistic services and programs.
• Develop co-curricular programming and assess existing programs.
• Seek and write grants for external funding and manage staff.
