Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Program Coordinator for Undocumented Student Services to lead the PACE fellowship, coordinate holistic student support, and supervise student staff. You will develop and evaluate professional development opportunities and provide individualized guidance to undocumented and mixed-status students.

Role partners with the USS Program Manager to enhance educational experiences, manage budgets, and report outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a service delivery unit.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and training models related to student development.
  • Understanding of how learning skills apply in a research institution.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supervising student staff or volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate holistic support services and programs for undocumented students.
  • Lead the Personal and Career Experience (PACE) program and manage related activities.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate professional development and networking programs.
  • Monitor expenses and prepare periodic activity reports.
  • Conduct individual student consultations and provide referrals and guidance.
  • Recruit, train and supervise paid and volunteer student staff.
  • Support on special projects and day-to-day USS operations.
