Job summary

General Matter is seeking a Program Manager to own and optimize the operating rhythm of its manufacturing and production org. You will partner with engineering leaders to prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives, turning ambiguity into actionable plans and scalable processes.

You will build schedules, dashboards, and governance to keep programs on track in a fast‑moving, high‑regulation environment. The role demands initiative, structured thinking, and exemplary communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in private equity/venture capital, management consulting, operations, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong synthesis ability.
• High ownership and bias to action.

Responsibilities

• Own critical‑path program visibility and turn noisy status into clear, leadership‑ready updates.
• Act as thought partner to an engineering leader, unblocking them to spend their time on the highest‑value items.
• Build and maintain schedules, trackers, dashboards, and executive briefings.
• Design, run, and improve core engineering processes - design reviews, review cadences, and reporting workflows.
• Standardize team workflows into a repeatable operating rhythm.
• Track priorities, dependencies, and follow‑ups so nothing slips.
• Partner across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Communications, and Security to keep initiatives aligned.
• Surface risks and execution gaps and drive them to resolution.
