Job summary

General Matter is actively pursuing a Program Manager to own the operating rhythm of manufacturing and production, partnering with engineering leaders to keep initiatives aligned and unblocked. You will design processes that enable scale and ramp quickly on technical and regulatory matters, while maintaining clear executive visibility.

The role requires initiative, structured thinking, and strong communication skills, with a track record in fast-paced environments and a readiness to work

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PM, PE/VC, consulting, operations, or related field.
• Exceptional structured thinking; ability to create order from ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong synthesis.
• Strong organizational and execution skills across multiple priorities.
• Ability to ramp quickly on technical and regulatory subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Own critical-path program visibility; provide clear leadership-ready updates.
• Partner with engineering leader; unblock high-value items.
• Build and maintain schedules, trackers, dashboards, and briefings.
• Design, run and improve core engineering processes (design reviews, cadences, workflows).
• Standardize team workflows into a repeatable operating rhythm.
• Track priorities, dependencies, and follow-ups to prevent slips.
• Partner across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Communications, and Security.
• Surface risks and drive resolution.
