Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an administrative professional to manage and support education programs within the School of Medicine's Pathology department. You will design and administer program content, establish objectives, and serve as a liaison among faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
• Time-management, project design and completion, interpersonal communication via email, and ability to adapt to remote work hours.
• Hard skills include UAB Application Services (Oracle), MS Office, Project Management, Performance Management, recruitment/HR/immigration compliance, Marketing, and Qualtrics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with achievement of objectives set by Program Director and Vice Chair of Education to meet parameters defined by University and affiliated entities.
• Coordinate with University departments and Pathology faculty supervising undergraduate observers, medical student rotations, visiting rotations and observerships; includes onboarding.
• Support department initiatives such as Grand Rounds and other educational programs.
• Assist with recruitment cycles, onboarding new trainees, and evaluation activities, potentially outside regular hours.
• Support event planning for training programs and departmental events; process trainee reimbursements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
