Job description

The Program Manager III serves as Assistant Director overseeing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs within the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services' Office of Fair Practices and Inclusion. The position oversees ADA training delivery, provides guidance on legal and statutory employment requirements, leads cross-divisional workgroups, develops policies on accommodations, conducts legal research on complex cases, supervises unit operations, and manages case flow between offices and HR. This role reports to the Executive Director and requires expertise in employment compliance, reasonable accommodations, and disability-related employment law.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Five years of professional experience in ADA/EEO employment compliance, including administration of the interactive process and reasonable accommodation
• Knowledge of disability-related employment laws and ability to provide training and guidance
• Experience conducting legal research and analysis (preferred)
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school (preferred)
