Job summary

Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) seeks a dynamic Assistant Director to lead ADA/EEO programs within the OFPI. You will oversee ADA training for staff, guide on legal and statutory requirements, and ensure compliance with accommodations across the department.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Executive Director, developing policies on religious and medical accommodations, managing data systems, and mentoring new ADA specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of professional experience in ADA/EEO employment compliance, including interactive process, accommodations, and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ADA/EEO programs within OFPI.
• Deliver ADA training to employees, supervisors, and management.
• Provide guidance on legal and statutory requirements related to employment matters.
• Develop policies on religious and medically related accommodations.
• Research and address legal/policy challenges in EEO/ADA.
• Manage data analytics, reporting, and confidential document systems.
• Coordinate with Executive Director and other teams on ADA communications and complaints.
• Supervise unit operations including budget and resources.
