Job summary

County of Nevada is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to co-lead the Eligibility Team within Social Services. You will supervise staff, develop policies, and manage grants and budgets while coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver essential services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (3 years at advanced journey level) or a Master’s degree (2 years at advanced journey level) and will contribute to emergency shelter staffing and community support initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Master's degree in a related field also accepted with two years of experience at the advanced journey level.

Responsibilities

Supervise assigned staff including schedules, training, evaluations, and performance improvement.
Interview and make recommendations regarding filling positions.
Interpret and apply provisions of law, rules, and regulations related to the program area.
Prepare grant, budget, and other materials for Board meetings and interagency coordination.
Staff emergency shelters during evacuations or weather events.
