Volunteers of America Minnesota is a nonprofit health and human services organization that annually serves more than 25,000 children, adolescents and their families, older adults, students, persons with disabilities and special needs, and adults completing incarceration. Position Status:
This is a PAID Full-Time role.
Primary Duty:
Responsible for overseeing the supervision and daily management of the residents residing in the program. This position also includes fulfilling direct support work hours as necessary.
Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one (1) year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older,
(or) An Associate’s degree in a field related to human services, and two (2) years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older,
(or) A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and three (3) years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
(or) A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and four (4) years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses listed above.
The Services for Persons with Special Needs (SPSN) division is dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities of any age. Support services may be provided in the consumer's home, in their local community or in a foster-care, residential setting.
