Job summary

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is seeking a Program Manager to lead child nutrition and sponsored feeding programs, including CACFP, SFSP, Backpack, and School/College Pantry initiatives. You will ensure compliance, supervise staff, and engage partners to advance programs.

Travel across Eastern Michigan to program sites; strong leadership, reporting, and relationship-building skills are essential. Bachelor’s degree with food safety certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Understanding of Feeding America and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate CACFP, SFSP, Backpack, and School/College Pantry programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with USDA, MDE, Feeding America, and internal policies.
• Monitor grants, reimbursements, and required reports; maintain documentation.
• Supervise staff and partner engagement; coordinate cross-department collaboration.
