This position is responsible for managing and overseeing all grant objectives and activities related to Child Passenger Safety (CPS). This role supports statewide program implementation, coordination, and evaluation while ensuring alignment with funder requirements and departmental guidelines.

Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of various projects of a moderately complex nature. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Communicates with Program Managers and other managerial staff as needed. Assign work of subordinate staff. Will manage large numbers of agency staff or have large scope of responsibility within agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing support and guidance to Regional Coordinators as needed.

Manage and supervise all grant objectives, activities, and deliverables to ensure successful program implementation and compliance.

Support statewide capacity building efforts through coordination of training programs, recruitment of local partners, and contributions (as available) to the special needs transportation evaluation program.

Collaborate with regional coordinators and team members to ensure effective execution of CPS initiatives across the state.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the program, coordinating communication with CPS advocates, GOHS grantees, and state partners through meetings, trainings, and regular correspondence.

Lead the development, editing, approval, and dissemination of program communications, including press releases, educational materials, media outreach, email campaigns, and reports.

Assist with program evaluation, grant writing, and required reporting to ensure compliance and continuous program improvement.

Coordinate and support outreach and education efforts targeting local partners, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders, including conferences, presentations, and exhibits.

Co-teach CPS workshops and trainings to maintain certification requirements; support CPSTs in maintaining certification through seat check sign-offs and continuing education opportunities.

Manage program purchasing processes, including researching needs, coordinating with vendors, ensuring proper budget coding, and working with the state accounting office.

Maintain detailed financial tracking systems, including spreadsheets for purchases, vendor information, and budget monitoring to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Review and verify monthly claims, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to budget line items.

Maintain all supporting documentation for monthly activity reports, including financial records, purchase orders, invoices, and travel documentation.

Conduct monthly audits (NDCF) to verify accuracy of reporting and appropriateness of equipment distribution related to mini-grant activities.

Serve as a system delegate in Concur, assisting with travel requests and expense report approvals.

Program Support & Additional Duties:

Support special needs clinics, including evaluations, recommendations, and proper car seat installations.

Participate in and support CPS-related meetings, training, and statewide initiatives.

Travel as required to support program activities, including co-instructing CPST courses, assisting in assigned regions, and attending conferences (approximately 20% travel, including overnight stays).

Preferred Qualifications:

At least five years as a CPST Lead Instructor

Experience working in Injury Prevention/Public Health

Microsoft Office (including Power Automate, Excel, Microsoft Forms) Experience – at least two years and demonstrated, completed projects.
