Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is hiring a PH Envir Compl Specialist 2 in Georgia. This role focuses on leading district Healthy Home initiatives, conducting inspections, and educating families and the medical community to prevent lead exposure and improve public health outcomes.

Certification as a Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor is required within 120 days of start. Local travel is expected. Competitive annual compensation and state benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Certification as a Georgia Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor will be required within 120 days of starting employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, which includes the completion of 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics, etc.) and one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 (RCP120) or position equivalent.--Note: Any agency-specified certification/training that may be experience.
