Community Options, Inc. seeks an experienced Program Manager in West Valley, Utah to maintain a high-quality program supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will lead and train the team, coordinate day-to-day operations, and drive programmatic goals with an emphasis on quality and compliance. The position requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and effective communication with families and guardians, ensuring services align with ISP plans and state

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years IDD experience
  • Two years managerial experience
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Team oriented with leadership experience
  • Problem solving with multiple priorities
  • Ability to build relationships with individuals receiving supports
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train the team to support programmatic initiatives and the unique needs of individuals with IDD
  • Manage team performance through communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and recognition
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing
  • Propose improvements to policies and procedures for efficiency
  • Assist development of current and future programs including residential supports and PCPs
  • Monitor and maintain the budget
  • Prepare required statistical, financial, and service reports
  • Develop and update ISP/PCP with interdisciplinary team
  • Ensure individuals are supported per ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
  • Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately
  • Monitor finances of individuals and ensure purchases are documented
  • Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns
  • Manage relationships with families and guardians
  • Ensure work locations and vehicles are well maintained
  • May conduct programmatic investigations
  • Cooperate with licensee and department staff during inspections

Job description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking an experienced Program Managerin West Valley, Utah.

The Program Managermaintains a high-quality program to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person is responsible for supporting the team with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.

Starting Salary: $55,000/Annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead and train the team to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Assist with the development of current and future programs including residential supports, personalized supports, supported employment, and person-centered planning
  • Monitor and maintain the budget
  • Prepare required statistical, financial, and service reports as needed
  • Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
  • Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
  • Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
  • Monitor the finances of individuals ensuring purchases are approved and accounted for with documentation
  • Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
  • Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
  • Ensure work locations and vehicles are well maintained
  • May conduct programmatic investigations
  • Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with three years of relevant experience
  • Must have minimum two years experience with IDD
  • Must have minimum two years managerial experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
Working Conditions
  • May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
  • Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be required
  • May be required to transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles
  • May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
  • May assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory individuals
  • May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
