How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

As a Project Manager – Fibre Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of our customer’s network infrastructure in support of the network fibre services (fiber delivery, dark fibre testing, analysis and data collection, site surveys, etc.) in accordance with planned deployment timeframes contractually negotiated by the customer. The role involves acting as the service provider to a CommScope customer, managing all practical aspects of the testing and delivery team, and meeting all customer expectations regarding technical skills, performance, and policy compliance.

You will manage day-to-day deliverables and customer meetings, handle demanding situations, keep projects on track, ensure vendor standards are met, resolve issues, collaborate with internal staff and stakeholders, and align teams/vendors towards common goals and deadlines.

You will work closely with customer technical delivery teams to understand new network delivery terms, including targets and technical requirements. You will also coordinate with internal project management teams to communicate deadlines and ensure internal requirements are met promptly.

This role will be based in Colorado.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Managing the delivery of large-scale network infrastructure projects involving dark fiber and inside plant fiber from inception to delivery, ensuring facilities meet schedule and technical specifications.
  • Proficiently reading and understanding dark fiber planning documents and acting on their conditions.
  • Understanding interconnectivity requirements within carrier hotels, data centres, and leased facilities.
  • Having strong knowledge of fiber characterization, types, physical interfaces, and connector types.
  • Supporting upstream planning, design, and acquisition teams by surveying infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery expectations.
  • Managing project scope changes, including updates to drawings and revisions to Visio floorplans and as-builts.
  • Serving as a secondary customer contact during implementation, escalating issues as needed.
  • Leading kickoff and regular project status meetings, updating downstream teams, managing exceptions, and communicating risks.
  • Maintaining all customer handover documentation such as floorplans, LOA/CFA, DLR, completion notifications, test results, and technical drawings, coordinating with customers and internal teams for service and site acceptance.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • BS degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a telecom-related field.
  • Extensive project management experience in a data network environment.
  • Dark Fiber Analysis skills, including:
    • Critical analysis of vendor fiber network data packages.
    • Use of industry-standard software like EXFO FastReporter3.
    • Building reports from field test data.
    • Experience with OTDR traces, CD/PMD, power measurement, span loss, ORL, fiber end face validation.

You Will Excite Us If You

  • Have experience delivering telecommunications infrastructure, space, and dark fiber from third-party suppliers.
  • Possess knowledge of Dark Fiber Delivery and interconnectivity requirements in carrier hotels, data centres, and leased facilities.

Our salary ranges are based on factors like benchmarking, skills, experience, education, location, and business needs. The expected total compensation for this role is $76,000.00-$97,000.00, depending on experience.
